Quotemy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026
The short version: Quotemy is a free 3D-printing cost calculator. The quotes and figures you enter stay in your browser — they are never sent to or stored on our servers. To understand how many people use the site, we use cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics that count visits in aggregate. We don’t use tracking cookies, we don’t build profiles, and we don’t sell or share your data.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of any personal data processed through this website is David Kravec, an individual operating the Quotemy website from Slovakia (EU). You can reach us at kravec.david1@gmail.com for any privacy-related question or request.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what information is processed when you visit quotemy.app and its sub-pages (including the calculator and shared-quote view pages), and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Your quotes and calculations stay on your device

Everything you type into the calculator — costs, materials, customer names, quote figures — is processed entirely inside your own browser. It is not transmitted to us and we never see it or store it. When you export a backup (database.json) or generate a PDF, those files are created locally on your device and saved wherever you choose. Shared-quote links pack the quote data directly into the link itself; opening such a link reads the data from the URL in the recipient’s browser — again without any server storing it.

4. Usage analytics (cookieless)

To understand how the site is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It collects only aggregated, non-identifying technical information, such as:

  • pages viewed and number of visits / unique visitors (estimated);
  • the referring website or source that brought you here;
  • approximate country (derived from your IP address — the IP itself is not stored or made available to us);
  • device type, browser, operating system and screen size;
  • page-load performance (Core Web Vitals).

This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you and is not combined with any other information to build a profile.

5. Hosting and security logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes standard technical connection data — such as your IP address, browser user-agent and request timestamps — for the time needed to deliver pages to you and to keep the service secure (for example, to mitigate attacks). This is a normal and necessary part of operating a website.

6. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless. The only thing stored on your device is a small local-storage flag that remembers you have already seen the privacy notice (so it is not shown on every visit), together with the app data you choose to keep locally. None of this is transmitted to us.

7. Third-party services

To deliver the site we rely on a few external services. When your browser loads resources from them, those providers may receive your IP address and basic request data as an unavoidable part of how the web works. They act as our processors or as independent providers under their own privacy policies:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery, security and cookieless analytics. (privacy policy)
  • cdnjs (Cloudflare) — serves the PDF-generation library used for downloads.
  • GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) — serves an additional font file, only when a PDF is generated in certain non-Latin languages.
  • Ko-fi — only if you choose to click the optional “support” link, which takes you to Ko-fi’s own website under their privacy policy.

8. Legal bases for processing

Where we process limited technical data, we rely on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding aggregate usage of the site and in keeping it available and secure. Because the analytics is cookieless and non-identifying, no separate consent is required. Delivering the pages you request is also necessary to provide the service you asked for.

9. How long data is kept

We do not keep any personal data about you ourselves. Aggregated analytics are retained by Cloudflare for a limited period in line with their service (typically around six months), and security/hosting logs are kept only as long as needed for delivery and protection of the site.

10. International transfers

Some of the providers above are based outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States). Where that is the case, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Slovakia, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR, dataprotection.gov.sk).

Because we deliberately do not collect data that identifies you, in practice there is usually no personal data tied to you for us to retrieve, correct or delete. You can still contact us at kravec.david1@gmail.com with any request.

12. Children

Quotemy is a business tool not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.

14. Contact

For any question about this policy or your privacy, contact David Kravec at kravec.david1@gmail.com.
